Ellicott City House Fire

     

Tuesday, January 17, 2012 0045  On 1/1/7/2012 at 0045 hours, units were alerted for the reported house fire.  As units were arriving, BC 2 called for the task force and the second alarm, due to the structure being heavily involved with fire as well exposure issues on both sides of the house.    Crews worked for several hours bringing the fire under control and completing salvage operations.

Units on location included E22, E71, E81, E82, TWR 2, TWR7 TWR10, A25, A26, BC2 (initial alarm).  Other units arrived on the task force and second alarm including units from Station 3 (West Friendship), Station 5 (Fifth Distirct), Station 6 (Savage), Station 9 and Station 10.  Mutual Aide from Montgomery County Truck 715 (Burtonsville).

Volunteers staffing E21 to cover Station 2 were alerted, but were put in service upon arrival.  They remained to cover the Second District.
