The Ellicott City Volunteer Fireman’s Association Fire Prevention activities are a robust year-round program with specific events and promotions geared toward the various seasons.  The hallmark of our year is the Annual Open House each fall during fire prevention week.

Twice a year, at the start and end of daylight savings time firefighters encourage you to change the batteries in your smoke detectors when you change your clocks.  Year-round, firefighters are available for school, daycare and community event visits focusing on fire safety, injury prevention, healthy living and child passenger safety.

Winter is a special season for the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department as Santa comes to visit on his Sleigh and the train garden brings the young and old together.
