Yesterday evening, units from Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services responded to an apartment fire in the 11300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. The call was ultimately upgraded to 2 alarms. In response, volunteers from Ellicott City placed Engine 21, Engine 81, Ambulance 86, and Air Unit 17 in service. Engine 21 and Air Unit 17 provided direct support on the fire ground while Engine 81 and Ambulance 86 provided coverage for the county. Engine 21 also provided coverage for Station 7 Banneker while their units cleared the fire ground.
