On the evenings of May 14-15 Ellicott City apparatus stood by at the Turf Valley balloon festival. The balloon festival happens every year during the weekend of the Preakness. While people were enjoying the hot air balloons Ellicott City was on hand allowing access to the fire engines and public education. People were able to see and climb into the fire engines while also asking questions about the fire department.
