It is with deep sorrow that the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department announces the passing of Former Chief Henry "Hank" Long. Chief Long passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 74.

Chief Long was a member of the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department from 1967 to 1983. He rose through the ranks to eventually become chief. He served as chief from 1979 to 1982. During his tenure, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors.
