Shortly after 12pm on March 12 units from Ellicott City were alerted for a reported house fire on Elmmonte Woods Way. EMS2 arrived and found smoke in the basement. Engine 82 arrived shortly after EMS 2 and layed out from the Hydrant while Engine 81 picked up the hydrant for Engine 82. Engine 82 and Engine 81 advanced handlines into the basement and proceeded to search for the fire. Chief 2 arrived took command and assigned Chief 2B the fire attack group. Once in the basement crews found a small fire on top of the stove. Fire was quickly knocked and no extension found. Units were in service after approximately 1 hour.
