Volunteers with ECVFD put additional resources in service ahead of the significant storms which came through our area Monday 8/7.

Staffing Rescue Squad 2 and Brush 28, volunteers responded to 7 emergency calls in the span of 5hrs, including arriving 2nd to an attic fire in Station 4’s response area (photo below).

The ability to provide additional resources in the event of a major incident or additional preparation to significant weather events is one of the many benefits of the combination volunteer/career system in Howard County Maryland.

A special thanks to those members who took time away from their families during the storms to provide service to their community.
