A brush fire on Church Lane Rd caused quite the response from Ellicott City and surrounding companies including mutual aide from Baltimore county. Engine 22 and Brush 27 were initially dispatched for a reported brush fire at a property backing up to the state park. Units arrived and immediately requested additional resources as they had several acres on fire, spreading toward electrical lines and a cell tower. Units remained on location for approx. 3 hours clearing the area and extinguishing hot spots. Battalion Chief 1 had the command while Chief 2B had the South division and Chief 8B had the North division.
