On Monday, July 11 and Friday, July 15, members of Ellicott City VFD participated in extrication training at Crazy Rays in Savage. The members were able to work with and become familiar with the new rescue squad as well as the new equipment on the squad. The training focused on more advanced extrication scenarios such as vehicle on its side or roof . Members had to stabilize the vehicles then remove the doors and roof to make access to the area where the patient would be found. All members who attended found the training very beneficial.
