The Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of Assistant Chief John McNeece. Chief McNeece passed away this afternoon after a lengthy illness. Chief McNeece served over 40 years in the fire service and has been with Ellicott City since 2012. During his 40 year career he served as a firefighter, fire officer, dispatcher and was very involved in teaching and training. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
